Elegant Embroidery

We are fast approaching the autumn season for Interior Design Trade Fairs in London - next week in-fact! Decorex International and Focus 16 are Trade Fair Exhibitions showcasing the trends for the next season. More about that in next week's blog where I will feature some of my treasured finds.
Today I would like to share with you a treasured find from a few years ago…
Travelling internationally and investigating the latest in design trends is an essential part of an Interior Designer's role. During a visit to Maison Objet, Paris, in 2015 - I stumbled upon an unassuming stall where Magali Renard was exhibiting her latest creations.

Magali is an innovative designer embroider who set up her studio "L'atelier du Renard" in 2009. Since opening her business, Magali has worked with many Interior Designers and Architects to bring their conceptual designs and ideas to reality.

The meticulous attention to detail Magali undertakes with every commission is testimony to her professional craftsmanship. Application of her embroidered designs is limitless and with careful advice from your interior designer this beautiful effect can add a truly unique dimension to your design scheme.

I have designed panels for dressing table draws using this technique, as shown in my drawing below. It could also be used for the back of dining chair chairs, a statement headboard or even perhaps on the side-panel of a sofa.
The close-up images in this blog demonstrate the skill and artistry Magali demonstrates in her work. The applications for her embroidered panels are limitless. The example shown below features the panels applied to the curved wall of a staircase in a yacht.
If you have a project or interior design scheme that you feel this will be suited – we would love to discuss it! Contact us for more information.
