Epernon is a jacquard tapestry whose design, from the Pierre Frey archives, evokes the aristoloche tapestries hand-knotted in the sixteenth century. Large foliage and dragonflies share the field, the insects lending movement to the botanical grandeur. It has the density of true tapestry with the practicality of woven cloth — a big, generous pattern that carries history without solemnity.
