Meet the team
TOBIAS TRIGG
Managing & Creative Director
Toby earned his BA (Hons) in Interior Design from Regent's University London, where he distinguished himself by receiving the Dean's Award for Arts during his four-year program. He also gained invaluable experience through internships with renowned interior designers. Additionally, Toby holds a BFA (Hons) in Interior Design from an American institution, equipping him with the qualifications to work globally.
With many years of experience in the high-end residential interior design sector, Toby launched his own design studio. In 2019, he expanded his vision by opening a stunning interior design showroom and boutique in Berkhamsted, complete with an e-commerce platform. Since then, the business has thrived, becoming a finalist in the SBID International Interior Design Excellence Awards in its inaugural year.
As an internationally award-winning interior designer (2023), Toby brings over twenty years of expertise to the table, specialising in high-end residential projects. He is passionate about crafting interiors that genuinely reflect the unique ideas and aspirations of each client. With the support of a trusted network of suppliers, artisan craftsmen, and contractors, Toby and his team at Tobias Oliver Interiors create timeless and exquisite spaces.
PHOEBE BARRON
Middleweight Designer
Phoebe holds a BA (Hons) in Interior Design from KLC School of Design and is launching her career with Tobias Oliver Interiors.
Having spent several years working in Berkhamsted, she knew her next adventure would be in the interior design industry close to home. What better place to do that than Tobias Oliver Interiors, nestled in the heart of Berkhamsted's high street.
Phoebe started as a Junior Designer, assisting with various projects and design decisions. She has since advanced to the role of Middleweight Designer, where she leads her own projects under Tobias’ guidance.
A passionate enthusiast of botanical themes and animal prints, Phoebe is particularly drawn to quirky and tactile finishes in her designs.
When she’s not immersed in the latest issue of House and Garden magazine, you find her mooching in the local boutique shops, or giving Otto some well deserved cuddles!
LUCIE CERVINKOVA
Junior Designer
Born and raised in the Czech Republic, Lucie moved to the UK for University. After graduating from Roehampton with a BA(Hons) in Nutrition, Lucie felt that she didn’t want to pursue a career in this field. Always having had a passion for interior design, she took a leap of faith and decided to study at the British Academy of Interior Design where she gained her Diploma.
Lucie began on an internship at Tobias Oliver Interiors to gain an insight into the career of an interior designer, develop her skillset and integrate her academic knowledge into the real world. Having shown impressive progress Lucie is now a Junior Designer and a full-time member of the design team!
In her spare time Lucie practices yoga at our local studio and enjoys reading, baking and traveling. Lucie loves her coffee, so if she ever goes missing, you might want to check the coffee shop across the road.
Ruthie Good
E-commerce Lead
Ruthie is a design enthusiast and a perfect addition to our studio. She is dedicated to guiding you through our brands, offering insights into the designers who shape each collection and the inspirations behind their work.
With meticulous attention to detail, Ruthie manages our website and e-commerce platform, ensuring that every product is accurately represented and beautifully showcased.
In addition to her passion for art and design, Ruthie has diverse interests that include literature, fashion illustration, and dance. She especially enjoys ballet and set design, bringing her artistic flair to everything she touches.
Katie Gilder
Executive Assitant
Having just graduated from the University of Birmingham with a BA in History, Katie was looking for an opportunity to work in interior design and expand her knowledge of business.
Katie has always been surrounded by interior design through her mother and sister which sparked her love for it!
Katie is excited to learn more to form the foundations of a career as an interior designer at Tobias Oliver Interiors.
In her spare time Katie loves walking her dogs, Theo and Flossy, as well as going to the gym and playing lacrosse.
We are excited to watch Katie grow in the team as we support her first steps into the world of interiors!
CLAIRE BUTLER
Finance Manager
Having returned from a four-year stay in the Netherlands, Claire now enjoys life in rural Norfolk with her two dogs, Ted and Frodo.
A qualified accountant, Claire has dedicated nearly 20 years to her profession—and remarkably, she still finds joy in working with numbers. When she's not busy at work—often playfully pursuing Toby and the team for invoices and receipts—she can be found enjoying leisurely walks in her wellies, savoring a fine glass of wine, or getting lost in the pages of a good book.
OTTO
Director of Fun
Meet Otto, our pint-sized powerhouse and official Director of Fun! This miniature dachshund believes that every day is an adventure just waiting to happen—especially if there are treats involved. With a nose for mischief and a penchant for belly rubs, Otto takes his role very seriously, overseeing operations with a determined wag of his tail.
When he’s not busy keeping the office in stitches with his signature goofy antics, you can find him napping in the sun or plotting how to sneak an extra treat from the snack cabinet. Whether it’s leading the daily “chase the squirrel” meeting or reminding the team to take breaks for some playtime, Otto ensures that laughter is always on the agenda!
