About the Awards
The Tobias Oliver Interiors team are honoured to have two of our luxury projects shortlisted for the highly prestigious International Design and Architectural Awards of 2023. The Awards are hosted by design et al, a leading UK interior design magazine, that aims to bring the design world together and to celebrate and promote the works of the most influential companies in the interior design and architecture industry.

Shortlists
Amongst an array of categories that has multiplied over the last fourteen years due to the high demand, Tobias Oliver Interiors has been shortlisted for four categories. Our Berkhamsted Luxury Farmhouse project has been shortlisted for the Living Space, Europe and the Luxury Residence, Europe awards, and our Chorleywood Orangery and Entertaining Space has been shortlisted for Living Space, UK and Luxury Residence, UK awards.
What Your Vote Means To Us
As a small design studio, we are steadily emerging due to our hard teamwork and successful projects. However, the public vote system means that we need every vote we can get in order to increase our recognition on a national and an international platform which means your votes really count to us!
There are TWO awards categories therefore we would love your support in both! Please see links below:

Living Space, Europe and Luxury Residence, Europe

The handsome Berkhamsted Farmhouse set amongst the sprawling countryside epitomises the perfect balance between creativity and comfort. The original features of the house such as the wood panelling and the charming fireplaces are met beautifully with the vibrancy that TOI were able to deliver to the house, such as the characteristic kingfisher blue entrance hall.

A unique personality has been injected into each room, yet the attention to detail and the careful consideration of the lighting layout allows a seamless blend throughout the entrance hall, the living room and the orangery. We have created a comfortable home fit for a family of five whilst offering a unique and sophisticated space for entertaining, a truly unique match which brings that “WOW” factor to the property.
Living Space, UK and the Luxury Residence, UK
Our second luxury project, Chorleywood Orangery and Entertaining Space saw a full interior design service in the newly configured living areas that naturally integrated with the existing style of the elegant country house.
The warm herringbone flooring used throughout the space, and the bespoke units either side of the fireplace, creates the perfect setting for a cosy evening. Simultaneously, the abundance of natural light that the orangery invites in and the refreshing dusty blue soft furnishing allows for the space to be enjoyed on a relaxing summer’s afternoon. This project embodies an extremely versatile space that can be utilised all year round.

The lighting layout is essential in the creation of a specific ambience for each area of the living space. For example, the directional down-lighters were perfectly positioned in the ceiling to wash down over the Andrew Martin panelled wallpaper, so that the eye is drawn to the key passages of the Pride and Prejudice wallcovering. Such attention to detail creates the perfect space for a warm and inviting room for entertaining family and friends.
What Makes These Two Properties Different
Tobias Oliver Interiors have certainly left their mark in these two beautiful projects, injecting the luxurious characteristic of the company into the country homes. However, our bespoke designs allow for the traditional English homes to possess two unique and individual personalities that meet the needs of each of the families. We are extremely proud that the countless hours and passion that went into our quirky Berkhamsted Luxury Farmhouse and the sophisticated Chorleywood Orangery Entertaining space has been recognised by the reputable design et al.
