The Porta Romana Spring 25 collection showcases an innovative approach by exclusively utilising ceramic, highlighting its versatility and aesthetic appeal. The new colourful glazes – Tigers Eye, Crème Brûlée, Safari, and Capri each offer unique visual experiences, enhancing the overall design.
The introduction of ceramic in wall light designs and a distinctive mirror frame demonstrates the material’s adaptability and capacity for intricate detail, achieved through complex molding processes. This focus on craftsmanship and material mastery not only celebrates ceramics but also elevates the functionality and artistic expression of the collection.
Barnacle Lamp
The Barnacle lamp has a heavy, low, round design and a unique personality due to the individual, sculpted ‘barnacle’ elements each hand-applied, adding to its texture and character. Available in glazes including Almond, Capri, Pudding, Safari or Tigers Eye. It has the feel of something old and interesting, looking at it more closely you notice how much depth there is to each finish.
Galia Mirror
One of the most exciting designs from the Spring 25 collection is the ambitious Galia mirror, with such energy and movement, it requires a complex mould made in several different parts to create the shape. It’s an asymmetrical design that is both delicate and robust. It’s hard to ignore and available in beautiful new glazes including Safari, Crème Brulée and Capri.
Rupi Ceramic Wall Light Small
Inspired by the Pinea Trees that guard the southern Italian coastline, the Rupi wall light is sculpted, with textured branches and an undulating, curved up light. Now available in ceramic, glazed in Almond, Tigers Eye, Myrtle and Pudding, changing the character completely. The Rupi ceramic wall light is available in Large and Small.
Scallop Wall Light Small
Since its launch in 2013 the Scallop Shell wall light has transformed bathrooms, kitchens and many other spaces due to its scale and proportion, the versatility of its finishes and the soft light it emits. To extend its influence, we have now created a smaller, more jewel-like scale in ceramic available in a series of different glazes. Capri, Myrtle and Tigers Eye are strong and eye-catching, while more neutral colours such as Safari give it tremendous scope for versatility.
Pumpkin Lamp
The Pumpkin lamp is one of our smallest ceramic table lamps. Its undulating textures sculpted from life. Now available in three new glazes, hand-mixed by Porta Romana including Campfire, Sunflower and Snowflake. Also available in Toad and Plaster White, or any custom painted finish of your choice.
Brae Wall Light
The Baobab table lamp resembling the form, shape and texture of a Bajan seed pod has been an important part of the Porta Romana collection for 15 years. For Spring 25, the design has been reinterpreted as the striking Brae wall light in a range of irresistible glazes including Tigers Eye, Pudding and Almond.
Sampson Lamp
The Sampson lamp has the same body shape as the classic Rigby lamp in our collection, a ‘go to’ table lamp design for anyone wanting to give a room a traditional and classical feel. Sampson has updated proportions omitting the neck of the lamp to create a shorter silhouette. Still mounted on a custom gold leafed wooden plinth, available in a standout new glaze, Tigers Eye.
Rupi Wall Light Large
Inspired by the Pinea Trees that guard the southern Italian coastline, the Rupi wall light is sculpted, with textured branches and an undulating, curved up light. Now available in ceramic, glazed in Almond, Tigers Eye, Myrtle and Pudding, changing the character completely. The Rupi ceramic wall light is available in Large and Small.
FINLEY LAMP
One of the most exciting designs from the Autumn 24 collection, Finley — a large-scale hand-cast table lamp inspired by the abstract shape of a cactus with rippled, asymmetrical fins on all sides. Now available in Crème Brulée and Safari glazes, the Finley Ceramic Lamp seems even more spectacular.
Bolla Wall Light
The Boublé table lamp, a retro-inspired ceramic lamp inspired by the work of Georges Jouve, has been an important part of the Porta Romana collection for 15 years. For Spring 25, the design has been reinterpreted as the striking Bolla wall light in a range of irresistible glazes including Safari, Tigers Eye, Pudding, Almond or Myrtle.
The Casaubon round lamp large
The Casaubon round lamp large is an over-scaled piece, inspired by an African artefact found in a Parisian flea market. Each bobble that makes up the Casaubon’s texture is revealed when illuminated. Now available in Clay White, a subtly mottled brown and white glaze or Biscuit.
